Woman drowns in pool at Grand Forks residence
A woman is dead after drowning in a pool Tuesday night in north Grand Forks.
Grand Forks Police were called to a home on the 2000 block of 11th Avenue North around 9 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of a possible drowning at a pool, police said.
Upon arrival, the adult female was unresponsive, police said.
Lifesaving measures were attempted on the scene, and she was transported to Altru for additional lifesaving measures, but she did not survive.
"The Grand Forks Police Department is grateful for the assistance of the Grand Forks Fire Department and Altru Ambulance during this incident," police said in a statement.
Further information about the victim is being withheld at this time, pending family notifications.
