Former Grand Forks Central and UND defenseman Paul LaDue signed a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Kings worth a total of $1.65 million.

The deal is a one-way contract, which means the Kings will owe LaDue the same amount of money whether he’s playing in the NHL or the American Hockey League.

LaDue played 12 games with the Kings last season, scoring three goals and tallying four points. He played in two playoff games and scored a goal.

LaDue was a restricted free agent.
